My Office is organizing a two-day international conference “Journalists' safety, media freedom and pluralism in times of conflict” on 15-16 June 2015, in Vienna at the Hofburg.

The conference will provide a forum for analyses, discussions, the sharing of good practices and development of practical tools on conflict and war reporting, the safety of journalists, journalist ethics, propaganda and information wars, media regulation and confidence building

among journalists.

Participants will include representatives from the media, governments, academia, industry and civil society.

The conference aims to assist Ukrainian journalists and media professionals to benefit from the experience of colleagues of other OSCE participating States with conflict-reporting experience.

Governments and media NGOs are encouraged to organize side events on relevant issues of media freedom and pluralism in times of conflict. Due to limited facilities, interest should be expressed by 15 May 2015 (nicolas.ebnother@osce.org).
